Merry Christmas 2022 + Videogame Christmas Music Recommendations!

Hi! Yep, that’s CrossCode Christmas art (source and full image: Radical Fish Games). Isn’t it awesome? Another reason you should play that masterpiece of a game.

Anyway, to my main point… Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! However you celebrate this time of year, I hope you’re having a wonderful time with your loved ones – and if you’re alone for any reason this holiday, then know I extend a warm seasons greetings to you and am thinking of you. I’m sure we’ve all had ups and downs over the last year, and this yearly Christmas post is a small way for me to express my gratitude to you all for reading, liking, or commenting on this site (or on other platforms).

It means a lot to have my own little corner of the internet to ramble on about my opinions, and the fact that anyone takes notice is very heartwarming to me! Even with a busier personal life and plenty of work projects, I plan to stay committed to regularly posting here in 2023 and beyond. It’s just a few days until I’ll start posting my 2022 Top Ten Films, and it won’t be long until post 200 either, which is an exciting/scary number to reach. When I started writing again in 2020, I didn’t know where it’d lead, and here I am!

As usual, I have a little Christmas offering here too! Before, I’ve picked out some festive videogame art to showcase, but this year I’m switching over to music! Below, I’ve linked five pieces of videogame music that I love -they all have a vibe of Christmas, winter, and getting cosy by the fire. Perhaps have a listen, to get yourself in the mood?

Snowpeak – The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Exploring the Winter Palace – Dragon Age: Inquisition

Snowpoint City (Night) – Pokémon Diamond & Pearl

Octopath Traveler – The Frostlands (GlitchxCity Remix)

The World of Snow – I Am Setsuna

Right, it’ll be time to get back to the family and Christmas activities. Have an incredible end to your year, and I’ll see you soon!

As always… Have an amazing day!
