Hi! I hope you’re all well. This post is a quick catch-up on some of the books that I’ve worked on for Titan Books recently. They’re books that are being published just in time for the Christmas season, so if you’re looking for gift ideas, they might be ideal!
The biggest release is probably Dr. Who & the Daleks: The Official Story of the Films by John Walsh. This book chronicles the two 1960s silver-screen editions of Doctor Who, starring Peter Cushing as Dr. Who! Both films are oddities in how they’re disconnected from the TV show canon, but they have many fans to this day. This book dives into the making of the films, their release, and their legacy, featuring plenty of never-before-seen photographs and details. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and if you’re at all a fan of Doctor Who, I recommend you take a look! The cover and a few of the spreads are below, and for more information you can go to the Titan Books website here.
In addition, there’s a few licensed fiction titles that have come recently that I got to work on. For starters, there’s The Complete Alien Collection: The Shadow Archive, which is a compilation of the three previously-released Alien books Out of the Shadows, River of Pain, and Sea of Sorrows (and is therefore quite a large paperback, it should keep you busy for a while!)! Then there’s Marvel’s Midnight Suns: Infernal Rising, a prequel novel to the new video game, and also the new paperback version of Alien 3: The Unproduced Screenplay by William Gibson. Again, you can head over to the Titan Books website for more info on all three of these!
If any of these spark intrigue in you, I also recommend searching out the authors themselves. I’m excited to share further projects in the future, too, but you’ll have to wait for those! In the meantime, I’m still making my way through Pokémon Scarlet, CrossCode, & more for posts on this site, and starting to prepare for my annual Top Ten Films pieces.
You can read another of my “Books & Projects” posts here. I hope you’re all staying happy and healthy out there this winter, and you have great Christmas plans! I’ll be back soon for another post.
Have an amazing day!
