Gaming Photo Album: Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

It is the New Year, and I am making it one of my priorities for 2021 to regularly post new entries into my Gaming Photo Album feature; the introduction of Photo Mode into more and more games is functionality I eagerly welcome, and enjoy playing around with. However, in this case, there is no Photo Mode; instead, I am focusing on the brilliant cinematography present in the game itself. That game is Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition!

For some background: if you were not aware, I am a fan of the modern Tomb Raider trilogy and regard them as incredible games, in particular the second of three, Rise of the Tomb Raider (which I have written a review for, and already done a Gaming Photo Album entry for!). So, when I got my Xbox Series S and was informed that all three of the games were on sale, I purchased them for a second time to play on my shiny new console! The Series S makes taking screenshots very efficient through a single input on the controller, and there are a plethora of ways to share it (I have been taking screenshots… Quite a lot). So, here are some photos I took whilst playing Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on Xbox Series S!

That brings to an end the latest Gaming Photo Album! I hope you enjoyed this and the new format of slideshows for each category. If you are going through and wondering why there is not a screenshot of a particular point in the game, bear in mind that sometimes I am so preoccupied with the game I am not taking screenshots, aha! I plan to keep adding to the Gaming Photo Album feature in 2021 – if you have any particular suggestions for games, Photo Mode or not, you can let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading!

      1. Seems they were loading slowly with the large file sizes. Should be a bit faster now, done some changes, otherwise might just take waiting a moment or two? Thanks for letting me know!

  1. Some nice shots, for me the picture of her sitting at the top of the radio tower with the setting sun as a backdrop looks really amazing. I picked this up on the 360 on release, looked an amazing game then so if i ever manage to pick up a series x looking forward to trying it out with sparkly effects and graphics

    1. Thanks! Yeah, the moment I decided to play this game again, I was excited to play the radio tower sequence again – such an epic climb!

Sounds good; this game is often on sale for really low prices too if you do decide to get it again, I think I got it for less than £5 on Xbox this time around! It is fun to see the improvements visually too – I am playing Rise now and it looks amazing.

      Thanks for the comment!
